The Origins of Textremism
It took some time before textremists understood they were textremists. Back in the early aughts, however, the two of them enrolled in political science, a discipline they found to be less about science than about having a way with words. This was when they realized that effective control of words was a key to success in any field. They knew how to write and used this skill to great effect in various professional engagements.
Both have numerously commented on social and economic issues in Lithuanian and international media, aiming to enrich journalism with reason and tasteful Machiavellianism, clarity of language and proper flow of words. Each has spent a chilly Lithuanian summer translating a classic academic book. Both have experimented with different genres of literature and both have received critical acclaim. Keen on developing their theoretical (i.e., sophist) skills, they went on to study in the aulas and libraries of Florence, Bologna and the Vatican. Later on, remembering to exchange an occasional letter, the two textremists spent several years working – that is, writing – in different countries and different professional worlds.
One was in charge of marketing and public relations campaigns in Lithuania’s leading travel agency. More recently, he specialized in providing business start-up services for foreigners in Lithuania.
The other continued his academic studies in the Dutch city of Utrecht. Here he worked in a European level association of historians, organized and moderated international conferences, and published articles in international social science journals.
Today both textremists are back in their homeland. They are highly different individuals with distinct interests and outlooks concerning issues the modern world and their country face. Their ways of expression are also unlike, but what they do agree on is the methodical use of words. That is why they continue writing - now they do it for you and your business.
As copywriters, they remind their clients that changing technologies and communication tools are only servants to words, not their replacement. From experience they know that in most cases a well-written copy is the main key in fulfilling your business dream. Just tell us what the dream is.
